Autocomplete Public

Autocomplete and MultiAutocomplete from ui-components suggest values as you type. The suggestions come from the server via Ajax as JSON, and each row is rendered in the browser from a template, the same way the cells of the JSON table are: the users show their name with their city and country below, the countries their flag and name. {{@label}} is the label of a value.

The chosen values are chips in the theme's colors with an x removing them, like those of the multiple drop-down; Backspace in the empty field removes the last one. One value: the chip stands in for the field until it is removed. The hidden input holds the ids of the chosen values, so a form posts them as always and an Ajax behavior on its change event is notified; the text below the form follows every choice.
